Our old thoughts are not always relevant now

Old thoughts (limiting beliefs) are generalizations that have protected us at some point in the past. It establishes limits and boundaries. It set up the dos and don’ts, or can-can’t, that were perceived as necessary for our protection and survival at those times.

Ask ourselves these questions
– Do we still run our business based on our past experiences?
– Do we still lead our team using past (perhaps outdated) leadership style?
– Do we remain to live our lives as if that is the way things were and should be?
– Do we still believe that we don’t deserve to succeed since no one in our family has?

Is that our current belief?

What happens if we say yes to the above questions? Where are we now in terms of achieving our dream or outcome? Are we progressing as expected, or are we stuck?

If we are stuck or making slow progress in our lives, careers, or businesses, we may need to realize that our previous thoughts are no longer relevant. We must reframe or turn potentially limiting beliefs into resourceful beliefs, which will then have a tremendous influence on our lives.

Goals, action plans, and enormous efforts will not produce the desired outcome with self-doubt, inner conflicts, and irrelevant old thoughts.

Find a mentor or coach, or join a training group, to help you overcome your limiting beliefs. Alternatively, we may begin to focus on what we can become rather than who we are or were in the past.
