Beyond Numbers is seven paradigms that will take your career to a whole new level …

#1
Careers need to be managed. It should have a purpose but must be flexible along the way.

#2
Trust is earned; so is reputation. You will know your value when you are no longer there.

#3
Don’t be the smartest one in the room. Stay humble; respect others as you never know how they’ll come into the larger picture of your life. Having a high IQ will bring impact but when you also have a high EQ, it will make all the difference in your career and life

#4
Work harder than everyone under you or above you. Nothing commands respect more than a hard worker with a good work ethic. Yes indeed, work ethic; be disciplined, be on-time, and always deliver as promised

#5
… but, never associate your identity only to your job. You are much more than your career or business. Most people know what to do to be successful, but many of them are not ready when they fail. At this point, as Lao Tzu said, mastering yourself is true power.”

#6
and … take criticism like a champion. Don’t weigh yourself down with the way the criticism is being delivered. Never take it personally; get the point, learn from it then shake it off.

#7
finally, find a mentor … and one day be one. “Everyone needs a coach” – Bill Gates – Eric Schmidt

And last but definitely not least,

to be successful in your career, It is not always about numbers, it is beyond numbers.
